Proper Radon testing and quality assurance can be time consuming and inaccurate.
My name is Lawrence Transue, I have been a Pennsylvania and New Jersey licensed radon tester for 20 years. During that time I have used charcoal kits and cans, rented continuous monitors, E-Perms, and have purchased Continuous Monitors.
I have found the quality assurance part of testing to be a real pain. Remembering duplicates, spikes, field blanks, calibration dates and more when I was busy, was extremely difficult.
And making charts and plotting RPDs, RPEs, Cross Checks, and statistics, was something I didn’t do since high school.
However, for years I did my best and the state would audit me periodically, making friendly suggestions to my radon testing procedure.
That all changed around 2010. That’s when the state decided they would fine you if you made a mistake on your Quality Assurance plan.

Like many testers across the state, I paid my fine, sucked it up and moved on. I was faced with a dilemma, discontinue radon testing, rent expensive machines (where the rental company does your state reporting and quality assurance), or find a new way.
That’s when I got the idea for RadonEasy.com. RadonEasy.com does all of that for you. It takes the guess work out of radon quality assurance.
A registered user enters the test data. RadonEasy.com creates a professional consumer report, keeps track of the number of tests performed and reminds you when it’s time for a duplicate. RadonEasy also reminds you when your equipment needs calibration. All of that from a desktop or a smart phone.
Now Instead of hand drawn Charts on graph paper, Quality Assurance charts look like...
